What we will do and see

In this excursion, we will visit the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum, before enjoying a delightful wine tasting at one of the renowned local wineries.

Our first stop will be Pompeii, where you can admire one of the most famous and well-preserved archaeological sites in the world. Here, the guide will take you through the ancient cobbled streets of the city, showing you the frescoes, mosaics, and remains of Roman houses, public buildings, and places of worship, reconstructing for you the daily life of ancient Romans. The visit to Pompeii will give you an idea of what life was like in the ancient city before it was destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Herculaneum is another important archaeological site in Campania. Here, the guide will take you through the ruins of the ancient Roman city, where you will have the opportunity to see public baths, artisan workshops, and commercial areas, and also have the chance to admire some of the best-preserved domus and the treasures they house, such as the House of the Black Saloon, the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, and the House of the Beautiful Courtyard, named for some of their distinctive features and their most stunning frescoes.

Our excursion will continue with a stop at one of the renowned local wineries, where you can taste some of the prized wines of Campania, such as Lacryma Christi, accompanied by delicious gastronomic delicacies typical of the area.
